Father of Three Dies in Truck Crash
Goshen, Ind. — Word was received here that Elmer S. Bontrager, 29, of Goshen was killed early Friday, Jan. 31, when the truck-trailer he was driving went out of control and skidded down a 30-foot embankment in southern Indiana.
The accident took place on Interstate 65 near Henryville.
Mr. Bontrager, married and the father of three children, had been employed for only 10 days as a truck driver by the Agri Products Division of the Starcraft Company here. The son of Samuel J. and Fannie (Schrock) Bontrager, he was raised in the Topeka and Middlebury communities.
