• Mrs. Louise Warkentin, 65, a resident of the Bethesda Home at Goessel since 1966, died Dec. 14 at Bethesda Hospital. The former Louise Schmidt, she was born at Marion and lived in the Goessel community most of her life. She was married to John Warkentin in 1922, and they farmed near Goessel for some years. He died in 1954. Mrs. Warkentin was formerly employed at the Corner Lunch Cafe in Newton. She leaves a sister, Mrs. P. C. Voth of rural Newton. The funeral was conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Alexanderwohl church, with Rev. Aaron J. Epp officiating. | |||
