Iva (Hershberger) Hauder, daughter of Absalam [''sic'' Absalom] and Sarah (Stutzman) Hershberger, was born near Milford, Neb. on Sept. 12, 1892, and departed this life after a lingering illness at Crestview Nursing Home, Milford, on Jan 12, 1970 at the age of 77 years and four months.
 
On Dec. 19, 1912 she was married to William Hauder. To this union were born two sons, Myrton and Lawrence, and one daughter, Mrs. Albert (Naomi) Saltzman, all of Milford. She is survived by her three children, seven grandchildren, one step-grandchild and three great-grandchildren. One grandson preceded her in death. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Lavina Rediger of Milford, Mrs. Chris (Lucinda) of Washington, Iowa and one brother, Ezra Hershberger of Goshen, Ind.
 
Preceding her in death were her husband, seven brothers, and one sister.
 
In her youth she accepted Christ as her Saviour and was baptized into the Mennonite Church. She was faithful to the Lord and church till her death, although she wasn’t able to attend services a number of years.
 
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She found much comfort in her home and family. She was always concerned about her family's spiritual welfare. She had great faith and always left concerns with the Lord.
