• Mrs. Willard Unruh of North Newton received word that her mother, Mrs. I. J. Dick, 77, died Tuesday morning in a nursing home at Mt. Lake, Minn. where she had been cared for the past year and a half. Her father, Rev. Dick, had just been released from the hospital after undergoing surgery and was able to be with his wife for about an hour before her death. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Mennonite Church of Mt. Lake. | |||

Mrs. Helen J. Dick, daughter of Jacob D. and Maria Friesen Schroeder, was born in Mt. Lake, Minn. on March 10, 1891. She received her formal education in the Mt. Lake Bible School and the Mt. Lake public school. | |||
On June 7, 1908, she was baptized and received into the Bethel Mennonite Church by Rev. H. H. Regier, transferring her membership to the First Mennonite Church after her marriage. | |||
She was married to Isaac J. Dick on Aug. 31, 1912, by Gerhard Neufeld. To this union three daughters were born. | |||
Mr. and Mrs. Dick lived in Newton, Kan., for a time, until Mr. Dick completed his college work. They returned to Mt. Lake where they have since made their home. Rev. Dick served the First Mennonite Church as pastor from 1914 until 1947. | |||
Mrs. Dick had been in ill health for several years and in February 1966 she fell and broke her hip. She had since been under medical care, and in April 1967 entered the Bethel Nursing Home. She passed away in the Home on Thursday, Oct. 8, 1968, attaining the age of 77 years, six months and 28 days. | |||
She is survived by her husband, Isaac J. Dick; three daughters, Mrs. Nick (Marcella) Klaassen of Bluffalo [''sic'' Buffalo], Minn., Mrs. Willard (Selma) Unruh of North Newton, Kan., and Mrs. Howard (Mildred) Stucky of McPherson, Kan.; two brothers, David S. Schroeder of Los Angeles, Calif. and Leonard A. Schroeder of Mt. Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Jacob A. Quiring of Dallas, Ore. and Mrs. Jacob J. Janzen of Fresno, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. | |||
She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. | |||
The funeral was conducted on Oct. 11 at the First Mennonite Church of Mt. Lake, with Rev. Alvin Kleinsasser officiating. | |||

MRS. HELEN J. DICK
Mrs. Helen J. Dick, daughter of Jacob D. and Maria Friesen Schroeder, was born in Mt. Lake, Minn. on March 10, 1891. She received her formal education in the Mt. Lake Bible School and the Mt. Lake public school.
