• Miss Katie Schmidt, 79, lifelong resident of the Goessel community, died Monday morning at Axtell Christian Hospital, Newton. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Goessel Mennonite Church, with Dr. D. C. Wedel officiating. Miss Schmidt was employed as a housekeeper and seamstress before entering the Bethesda Home some years ago. She is survived by two brothers and three sisters. | |||
