•  John P. Goering, 80, retired farmer and lifelong resident of the Moundridge community, died Sunday evening at Mercy Hospital.  The funeral was conducted Wednesday forenoon at the Hopefield Mennonite Church, with Rev. H. B. Schmidt in charge.  Surviving are sons Martin, J. P., Orlin and Weldon of Moundridge and Alfred of McPherson; three daughters, Mrs. Ben J. Goering of Moundridge, Mrs. Harvey Krehbiel and Mrs. Harvey Schrag of Pretty Prairie; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters.
