• Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, 86, widow of Henry A. Smith and long-time resident of the Burns community, died unexpectedly the evening of June 3 at the home of a son, Davy Smith, near Burns. The funeral was conducted June 7 at the Eden Mennonite Church south of Burns, with Ministers Alvin Koehn and Tobe Koehn officiating. Mrs. Koehn [''sic'' Smith] was born in Russia in 1882 and came to Kansas as a girl. Her large family of descendants includes five daughters and four sons and their families. | |||
