Theo. H. Harms Dies Today

Theodore H. Harms, 75, of 213 South F, Wellington, retired employee of the Sumner County Social Welfare Department, died at 6:20 a.m. today in a local hospital.

He was born May 7, 1896 at Whitewater, Kan. He was employed in the Kansas State Bank of Newton, Kan., for 15 years, moving to Wellington from Newton in 1943 when he became the fiscal officer for the Sumner County Social Welfare Department a position he held until he retired in 1966 because of ill health. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of Kingdom Builders Sunday School Class of the church. He was an honorary member of the Wellington Rotary Club. He was married to Mildred Henrietta Molzen on June 15, 1924 at Newton, Kan.

Survivors include his widow, Mildred of the home; one son, The Rev. Duane K. Harms, 1300 Taft, Great Bend, Kan.; five brothers, Leonard L. Harms, Goessel, Kan., Emil Harms, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Paul Harms, Drake, Saskatchewan, Canada, William Harms, McPherson, Kan., and Henry E. Harms, Denver, Colo.; two grandchildren, David and Beth Harms, Great Bend.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church. Dr. Lyman S. Johnson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Yost Funeral Home Thursday evening.

Services for Theodore H. Harms, 213 South H, who died Wednesday in a local hospital will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church. Dr. Lyman S. Johnson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Yost Funeral Home tonight. The casket will not be opened after the service. A Memorial has been established in his name in the First United Methodist Church.

Services for Theodore H. Harms were at 3:30 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church. Dr. Lyman S. Johnson, pastor, officiated.

Congregational hymns "How Great Thou Art" and "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling" were sung. Mrs. Boyd L. Morris was the organist.

Pallbearers were R. E. Wilson, Verne Newton, J. M. Slaten, Lloyd L. Bliss, Robert Anderson, Dr. F. B. Hollingsworth.

Ushers were N. W. Morton, Fred J. McCoy, Ernest Hawkins.
