•  Funeral services for Donald W. Haury, Jr., 49, well-known Halstead area farmer, were held at the First Mennonite Church there on May 3, with Rev. Melvin Schmidt officiating.  Mr. Haury died at the Halstead Hospital on May 1 after a brief illness.  His wife, the former Agnes Buller, died in 1960.  Surviving are a son, Donald Jr.; a daughter, Kristin; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl F. Haury Sr., and a brother Carl Jr., all of Halstead.
