• Robert Lee Schmidt, 51, Pawnee Rock native who was a meteorologist for the United States Weather Bureau at Helena, Mont., died March 23 in New York City. The funeral is to be held Wednesday afternoon at the Bergthal Mennonite Church, Pawnee Rock, with Rev. Gary Stenson in charge. He is survived by his widow, four brothers and five sisters. Mrs. August (Esther) Schmidt of Newton is a sister. | |||
