• Fred J. Nightengale, 74, retired farmer of Scott City, died Oct. 10 at the Halstead Hospital. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the Scott City Mennonite Church, with Irvin Nightengale and Robert Koehn officiating. Mr. Nightengale was born in Ostrag, Russia, and had lived at Fredonia and Halstead as well as Scott City. He leaves his widow, Anna, one son and 11 daughters and their families, as well as two brothers and one sister. A brother, Benjamin, lives in Siberia, Russia. | |||
