• Pete F. Zuercher, 78, formerly of Newton, died Monday at the St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, where he had been a patient for two weeks.  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of the Draper Funeral home, with Rev. Ted Roth of Whitewater officiating.  Burial was made in the Swiss Cemetery at Whitewater.  Mr. Zuercher was born Sept. 21, 1888 in Bern, Switzerland, the son of Frederick and Anna Zuercher.  He was a member of the Lorraine Ave. Mennonite Church in Wichita.  Among the survivors is a sister, Mrs. Anna Quinton of Newton.
