•  Funeral services for Ephraim P. Janke, 90, long-time resident at Lehigh, were held Saturday afternoon at the Lehigh Mennonite Church, with Rev. Peter Goering officiating.  Mr. Janke died Jan. 11 at the Bethesda Home in Goessel where he had resided since 1962.  Born in South Russia in 1876, he came to the Lehigh community with his parents when about 12 years of age.  He was a farmer and thresher and also served as city marshal at Lehigh.  His wife, the former Eva Unrau, died in 1946.  Surviving are three daughters and four sons and their families, two sisters and one brother.  Mrs. Jacob F. Penner of Newton is a sister.
