MARY EPP

Mary Epp of St. Catharines, Ont. passed away Mar. 7. She was born Oct. 3, 1911 to Abram J. and Maria Epp in Waldheim, Sask., the eldest of 6 children. As a young person, she accepted Christ and was baptized. She attended Hepburn (Sask.) Bible School, where she met Walter Epp; they married June 29, 1935. They farmed in Laird, Sask. In 1941 they moved to St. Catharines. Daughter Gwen died in 1970 at age 24. Mary and Walter were deacons and Sunday school teachers for many years. Walter died in 1991. She kept busy with knitting, crocheting and baking. In 1994 she moved to an apartment at Tabor Manor. She enjoyed good health until February 2001. Predeceased by Walter and daughter Gwen, she is mourned by sons Orlin and Dale; daughter Marlene Toews; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother and 4 sisters. The funeral was Mar. 10 in Fairview MB Church, St. Catharines, with Waldo Pauls and Paul Fast ministering.
