ANNA ENGEL

Anna Engel of Medicine Hat, Alta. passed away Sept. 16 of cancer. She was born Apr. 26, 1910 to Carl and Christina Biffart in Woodrow, Sask. and grew up on the family farm. She married Ted Engel Oct. 21 , 1932 in Congress, Sask. They farmed near Woodrow until they moved to Medicine Hat in 1964, but they did not retire until 10 years later. She loved to garden, crochet, sew, travel and entertain. She was always active in church ladies' groups. Predeceased by 1 brother, she is mourned by her husband; sons Ron of Calgary and Wayne of Woodrow; daughter Velma Heebner of Glenbain, Sask.; 8 grandchildren; 2 greatgrandchildren; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. The funeral was Sept. 18 in Crestwood MB Church, Medicine Hat, with Mark Jantzen ministering.
