Funeral services were held Nov. 13 at the Faith Mennonite Church in Newton for Olin E. Waltner, 67, who died Nov. 11 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital. Burial was in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Leonard C. Wiebe officiated. Waltner operated the Western Auto store in Newton for many years. The son of John and Anna Kaufman Waltner, he was born Sept. 20, 1915 in Moundridge. He married Katherine Regier on Sept. 27, 1940, who survives. They moved to Newton in 1956 from Elyria. Also surviving are a son, Ronald of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Adelyn Scott of Newton; two brothers, Clifford of Moundridge and Milford of Newton; one grandchild; and one stepgrandchild. | |||
