DAVID M. FROESE

David Michael Froese passed away on January 27. He was born to Michael and Maria Froese on November 13, 1890, in Jekaterinovka, Russia. Early in life he accepted Christ as his Saviour, was baptized and joined the Mennonite Brethren Church. On April 2, 1917, he married Margaret Sawatsky. In Russia he taught in the village school, worked as a mill bookkeeper and spent five years in forestry service. In August, 1924, God enabled his family to immigrate to Canada. They lived in Aberdeen, Sask. for some time before settling permanently in Coaldale, Alta. where David worked in construction.

He is remembered as a dedicated husband and father who always sought the well being of his family. He will be missed by his wife Margaret; six children: Margaret and Joseph van Laarhoven of Lethbridge. Alta., Nettie and Mary of Coaldale, David and Charlotte Froese of Surrey, B.C., John and Vera Froese of Edmonton, and Verna and Henry Willms of Grassy Lake, Alta.; eleven grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held January 31 in the Coaldale Mennonite Brethren Church, with Rudy Heidebrecht officiating.
