OLDEST AMISH BISHOP OF LANCASTER COUNTY CALLED BY DEATH
Ronks, Pa. — Benjamin F. Beiler, oldest Amish bishop in Lancaster county and also believed to be the oldest member of the Amish church in the county, died March 17 at the age of 92. Funeral services were conducted March 20 by bishops Amos M. Fisher and Aaron Esh.
The large family of descendants includes eight children, 42 grandchildren and 99 great-grandchildren. An aged brother, Deacon Jonas M. Beiler, also survives.

Benj. F. Beiler, 92-year-old bishop in the Amish church, died at his home in Ronks. The cause of death was a stroke. His survivors are eight children, 42 grandchildren and 99 great-grandchildren. The funeral was held Sunday, Mar. 21.
The following Thursday his brother, Jonas Beiler, 82 years old also died of a stroke after being ill only six days. He leaves his wife, the former Hannah Lapp, eight children, 33 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Burial for both was held at Beiler's cemetery near Ronks.
