DARRELL JAMES QUAPP

Darrell James Quapp of Calgary died instantly on December 3 in an automobile accident. He was born to Carl and Marlene (nee Sawatzky) Quapp on May 17, 1959 in Calgary. Due to his early arrival he spent the first month of his life in the hospital. He gave his heart to the Lord at an early age, and on April 10, 1977 was baptized and joined the Highland Mennonite Brethren Church in Calgary. He had many questions about the Bible and the Christian life, and after graduating from high school in 1977 he attended Columbia Bible Institute in Clearbrook, B.C. or a year. He followed this with spending more and more of his time in personal study of the Bible. On December 3 he, his special friend Trish and his cousin Michael were in involved in a car accident on their way to Banff from skiing at Lake Louise.

His family remembers him as a cheerful and outgoing person who brought joy to the people around him. He will be greatly missed by his parents, brother Gary, sister Karren, grandmother Mrs. Lydia Sawatzky of St. Catherines, Ont., his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
