• Leonard Friesen, 50, an employee of Hurst Foods, Inc. in Newton, died Dec. 23 at the Bethesda Hospital in Goessel where he had been a patient since Oct. 6. The funeral was conducted Monday afternoon at the Tabor Mennonite Church, with Rev. Harold Graber of Elbing officiating. Mr. Friesen was a native of Marion Country and formerly lived in the Lehigh and Hillsboro area. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Bernhard W. Friesen of Goessel; brothers Irvin of Whitewater and Art of Newton; and four sisters, Mrs. Alvin Alexander of Malin, Ore., Mrs. Willard Schmidt of Newton, Mrs. Harry Janzen of Lyons, Kan., and Mrs. Oliver Klassen of Elbing. | |||
