RICHARD BARTEL

On October 30, Richard Bartel of Goldbar, Wash. went to be with the Lord. He died of a heart attack. He was born to David and Martha Bartel on May 16, 1933 in Wymischle, Poland. He was 14 when the family came to Canada. He married Loretta Tillotson of Sumas, Wash. on June 25, 1955. In 1956 he was drafted into the U.S. Army, and served one year at Fort Lewis, Wash. and one year in Korea. His marriage with Loretta was dissolved in 1966, and their son Rich is now 19. In August 1972 he married Donna Warren. In the ten months preceding his death, he had been a victorious Christian and a member of the Open Bible Church in Goldbar. Left to mourn his sudden passing are his wife Donna; his son Rick and two stepchildren, Ronald and Sheryl Warren; his mother Martha in Clearbrook, B.C.; two brothers and three sisters, Henry in Vancouver, Frank in Haney, B.C., Hulda (Mrs. Paul) Kliewer of Edmonds, Wash., Emilie (Mrs. John) Martens of Clearbrook, and Martha (Mrs. Herb) Ratzlaff of Abbotsford, B.C.
