Father of Missionaries Dies at Church Service
Kidron, Ohio. — An apparent heart attack while attending the evening service at the Kidron Mennonite Church Nov. 21 claimed the life of Grover C. Gerber, 72, well known retired farmer of this community.
Mr. Gerber had just participated in a testimony period when stricken. He had not been ill. His wife and daughter Ruth were in Indiana for the week end and did not learn of his death until their return that night.
Other survivors include a son, Ellis, missionary stationed at Tshikapa, Congo; a daughter Celia, serving as a teacher of missionaries' children in Leopoldville, Congo; Mrs. David Schrock, a daughter of Sterling, O.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Nov. 24 at the Kidron Mennonite Church.
