• Mrs. Elizabeth Schmidt, 86, widow of Jacob B. Schmidt and former resident of the Grace Hill community east of Newton, died Saturday at the Schmidt nursing home in Moundridge where she had been a patient the past three years. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Grace Hill Mennonite Church, with Rev. Edmund J. Miller in charge. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elsie Harms of Newton; three sons, Aaron of South Bend, Ind., Rev. John F. of North Newton, and Tobias of Newton; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. | |||
