SUSIE WIENS

Susie Wiens of Sardis, B.C. passed away Nov. 21. She was born to John and Anna Bergmann in Russia in 1911. She immigrated to Canada in 1925. Upon her arrival in B.C., she began work as a live-in housekeeper for a family in Rosedale. In 1933 she married John Wiens. She was a member of Greendale MB Church in Sardis. She enjoyed travelling and singing and crocheted many items as family keepsakes. She always greeted company with a cheerful smile. Her priority was her children, for whom she prayed daily. She had a fulfilling life and is remembered as one who loved everyone and was loved in return. Predeceased by 2 brothers, she is mourned by her husband; children Cork, Vera Helie, Garry and Don; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters and 1 brother. The funeral was Nov. 25 in Greendale MB Church, with Len Doerksen ministering.
