+ | • Funeral services were held at the Lone Tree Mennonite Church near Galva last Saturday forenoon for Mrs. Vada Johnson, 57, who died at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge on May 5 after a three-day illness. Mrs. Johnson was the representative of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite [on the Kansas All-Mennonite] on the Kansas All-Mennonite Women's Committee, which sponsors an annual women's meeting and also has charge of the North Newton Cutting Room. She helped found the committee a number of years ago. Her husband, Jesus Johnson, died in 1950. Surviving are four sons and their wives, all of McPherson County. |
