• Mrs. Katie Base, 79, of Pawnee Rock died Tuesday at Kinsley, Kan. after a ten-day illness. Born near Buhler, she was married to John J. Base in Barton County in 1904. He died in 1939. She leaves a son and two daughters and their families as well as three sisters. Funeral as well as three sisters. Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at the Bergthal Church near Pawnee Rock with Rev. Gary Stenson in charge. | |||
