Death Claims Church Leader and Teacher
Altona, Manitoba. — Funeral services for Rev. Peter A. Rempel, 75, well-known minister and teacher and one of the founders of the Blumenorter Mennonite Church of Manitoba, were held Feb. 10 at the Bergthaler Church here.
Rev. Rempel was a minister for 45 years and taught school for more than 47 years, teaching in Manitoba public schools and at Elim Bible School here from 1946 to 1957. He also served at Canadian Mennonite Bible College for a short term.
