• Marie U. Schmidt, 73, lifelong resident of the Hillsboro and Goessel communities, died Dec. 19 at the Bethesda Home in Goessel. The funeral was conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Alexanderwohl Church by Rev. Aaron Epp. For a number of years Miss Schmidt operated a mission home for elderly people in Hillsboro. She is survived by one brother, Peter U. Schmidt, and one sister, Mrs. P. J. Franz, both of the Bethesda Home, and a number of nephews and nieces. | |||
