• Mrs. John J. Schmidt, 69, of Hillsboro died Tuesday morning at the Salem Hospital there after a long illness. Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Alexanderwohl Church near Goessel, with Rev. John Ratzlaff and Gene White officiating. Mrs. Schmidt, the former Anna Lehrman, was a lifelong resident of Marion County. She and her husband farmed in the Goessel community before moving to Hillsboro in 1948. He survives with their children, Eldon M. Schmidt of Newton and Mrs. Arthur H. Jantz of Hillsboro, eight grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters. | |||
