• Mrs. Mary Frances Cooprider, 81, widow of Charles Cooprider, died Jan. 21 at the McPherson County Hospital. Rev. Edd Birkey officiated at the funeral services on Saturday forenoon at the West Liberty Mennonite Church, of which she was a member. Mr. and Mrs. Cooprider were residents of the Windom community before moving to McPherson 11 years ago. He died in 1955. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Zimmerman of Windom and Mrs. Leonard Lundberg of McPherson; five grand-children and five great-grandchildren; and three sisters. | |||

Mary Frances (Winey) Cooprider, daughter of Caleb and Mary (Graybil [''sic'' Graybill]) Winey, was born near Osborne, Kan. on June 29, 1882 and departed this life and went to be with her Savior, Jan. 21, 1964, at th age of 81 years, six months and 23 days. | |||
At the age of five she moved with her parents to Peabody, Kan. where she grew to adulthood. On Aug. 19, 1905, she was united in marriage to Charles W. Cooprider, with whom she had 49 years of companionship. They established their home in Hayes Township where they lived until 1952 when they went to live with their daughter Pauline, in McPherson. He preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1955. Her parents, two brothers, Victor and Sam Winey, and a sister, Cecelia Landes, had also preceded her in death. | |||
Early in life she accepted Christ as her Savior and became a member of the Catlin Mennonite Church at Peabody, later changing her membership to West Liberty Mennonite Church at Windom and remained a faithful member until passing. | |||
