LONG-TIME TEACHER CALLED BY DEATH

Wayland, Iowa. — Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Zehr Elder, 59, a teacher in the Wayland and Waco school system for 29 years, were held Jan. 5 at the Wayland Mennonite Church, of which she was a member.

Mrs. Elder died Jan. 2 at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.

Survivors in addition to her husband, Sam Elder, include two daughters and one son and their families and her mother, Mrs. Fannie Zehr of Wayland.
