&bull;  Funeral services were held Saturday at the Congregational church in McPherson for Peter P. Schmidt, 75, who died Dec. 26 at a McPherson hospital after an illness of about four months. He was a member of the First Mennonite Church of McPherson, and his pastor, Rev. Curt Siemens, officiated.  Survivors include his widow, the former Eva Goertz, two daughters and two sons, one brother and one sister, A son Lloyd, lives in Newton.  Mr. Schmidt formerly lived in Newton, moving to McPherson 19 years ago.
