Berne, Ind. — Double funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. David P. Neuenschwander, who died within two days of each other, were held two days of each other, were held Oct. 1 at the Evangelical Mennonite Church near Berne. Rev. Alvin Becker, the pastor, and Rev. E. G. Steiner officiated. | |||
Mr. Neuenschwander, 76, and his wife, the former Katherine L. Amstutz, 61, were both lifelong residents here. They retired from the farm six years ago. | |||
Mr. Neuenschwander died Sept. 27 after a four-week illness of leukemia. His wife, who died Sept. 29, had been in failing health for a year and seriously ill a week. Their large family includes 10 children and 17 grandchildren. | |||
