• At least five members of Reno County Mennonite churches were called away in death last week. Funeral services for Henry B. Thiessen, 68, retired farmer of Inman who died Thursday in McPherson, were held at the Zoar Church on Saturday afternoon. Services for Ben P. O. Graber, 81, who died Tuesday at Anthony Hospital, were held at the Pretty Prairie Mennonite Church. On Sunday afternoon services were held at the Bethel Church near Inman for Sarah Fehdrau, 82, who died May 1 at Mercy Hospital, Moundridge. Another funeral was held at the same church on Tuesday of this week as services were held for Edward Ratzlaff, 59, mill employee of McPherson who died there May 3. R. A. (Rudy) Gaeddert, 63, employed in a Hutchinson garage, died as result of a heart attack at his home in Hutchinson of Saturday. The funeral was Tuesday afternoon at the Hutchinson First Church. | |||

BEN P. O. GRABER
Ben P. O. Graber, son of Peter O. and Suzanna Goering Graber, was born march 13, 1882 at Marion, S. D. and departed this life April 30, 1963, at the Anthony, Kan. Hospital. He reached the age of 81 years, one month, and 17 days.
In February 1891, at the age of nine years, he moved with his parents to a farm east of Pretty Prairie, Kan.
On April 10, 1898, upon his confession of faith, he was baptized by Rev. J. J. Flickinger, thereby becoming a member of the First Mennonite Church of Pretty Prairie, where he remained an active member throughout his life.
He was married to Adina Graber on Nov. 1, 1906, with whom he shared life's joys and sorrows for 56 years. To this union were born nine children. Two sons, Irwin and Edwin, one daughter, Hilda, and one grandson preceded him in death.
Surviving are the widow, our mother; five daughters, Mrs. Dave Kaufman of Moundridge, Kan., Mrs. Edwin E. Graber of Kingman, Kan., Mrs. Allen P. Voran of Kingman, Mrs. Levi Krehbiel of Pretty Prairie, and Mrs. Leroy Krehbiel of Moundridge; one son, Raymond, of Kansas City; one brother, Jonathan O. of Pretty Prairie, one sister, Mrs. Dan J. Stucky of Moundridge; 14 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. May 2, 1963, in the First Mennonite Church of Pretty Prairie. Rev. Ben Rahn, the pastor, officiated. burial was made in the church cemetery. — The Family.
