JOHN C. HEIDE

John C. Heide of Hepburn, Sask. passed away on November 14. He was born to Cornelius Peter and Susan (Quiring) Heide on December 30, 1903 in Mountain Lake, Min- nesota. In 1918 his family moved to Canada and settled in the Hepburn area. In his early youth he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour, was baptized and became an active member of the Hepburn Mennonite Brethren Church. On August 22, 1926 he married Margaret Buesing. They lived on a farm west of Hepburn until retiring in 1974, when they moved to town. He is remembered by his family as always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. He was predeceased by one daughter, Margaret, who died in infancy. He is survived by his wife Margaret and three daughters: Evelyn (Mrs. Albert) Schmidt and Esther (Mrs. Herman) Fehr of Hepburn, and Marlys of Saskatoon; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters and four brothers. His funeral took place November 17 in the Hepburn church with pastor John E. Klassen officiating.
