JUSTINA WIENS

(Mrs.) Justina Wiens of Clearbook, B.C. passed away on October 27. She was born on October 30, 1887 in Ladekop, Russia to Peter and Justina Wiens. On October 13, 1907 she married Abraham Wiens in Omsk, Siberia. They both experienced the Lord personally and were baptized into the Mennonite Brethren church in Omsk. In 1926 the family emigrated to Canada, eventually settling in Gem, Alta. In 1939 they moved to Yarrow, B.C. Her husband died in December 1943. She moved to Vancouver to live with daughter Margaret in 1950, and joined the 43rd (Vancouver) Mennonite Brethren Church. In 1974 she entered Tabor Home in Clearbrook. There she spent much time in prayer for her large family. She was predeceased by one son in in- fancy, her husband Abraham, and by daughter Justina Penner of North Vancouver. She is survived by two sons, four daughters and spouses; 40 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grand-children. Her funeral was held October 29 in the Bakerview (Clearbrook) Mennonite Brethren Church with Victor Toews of Vancouver officiating. J. Dyck of Tabor Home and David Wiens of Vancouver preached.
