ELIZABETH JANTZEN HARMS

(Mrs.) Elizabeth Jantzen Harms of Clear- brook, B.C. passed away on September 30, 19BO . She was born on July 16, 1B97 to Johann and Katherine (Friesen) Enns in Blumenhof, Russia. In 1909 the family mov- ed to Neu-Halbstadt, Sagradowka . In 191B she was baptized into the Allianz Mennonite Church . She married Peter Aron Jantzen on February 3, 1919 in Neu-Halbstadt . In 1926 he couple immigrat ed to Canad a, work ed first at Harris and Oxbow, Sask., then mov ed to Yarrow, B .C. in 1929. They joined the newly formed Yarrow MB Church. In 1959 her husband died . A year and a half lat er she married John C. Harms of Dinuba, CA. Wh en her second husband passed away in 1970, she moved to Clearbrook . The funeral was he ld Octob er 4 in the Clearbrook MB Church with pastor John G. Baerg officiating. She is sur- vived by children and spouses: Nettie and Henry Hildebrand, Katie and George Doerk- sen , Peter and Erna Jantzen, Betty and Abe Loewen, Jack and Hazel Jantzen, and Ervin Jantzen; 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grand- children, four brothers, three sisters, thr ee step sons, two step daughters and their children.
