ELMA SCHMIDT

Elma Schmidt died April 26. She was born Sept. 12, 1917 to Dan and Katherine Schindel near Rush Lake, Sask. She attended Bethany Bible School, Hepburn, Sask. in 1938-39, where she met Harry Schmidt, whom she married June 13, 1943. They briefly farmed, then settled in Saskatoon. Family and church were very important to Elma. She was a wonderful cook and served her Lord in many areas. In later years there were troubling times with Alzheimer's disease. She is mourned by Harry; children Gerald (Sophie), Donna (Merle) Moore, Doreen (Elwood) Goetz; 8 grandchildren; 2 siblings. The memorial service was May 1 at Forest Grove Community Church, Saskatoon.
