ELLA NICKEL

Ella Nickel died peacefully April 16. She was born to Herman and Tina Nickel, Feb. 13, 1918, in Dalmeny, Sask. As the oldest child, she helped with her siblings and household activities. In 1944, the family moved to Ontario, where Ella was baptized on confession of her faith. Reading her Bible was important to her; she believed in the power of prayer. In 1999, she moved into Tabor Manor Nursing Home in St. Catharines, Ont. Ella was helpful and cheerful, and enjoyed family gatherings and monthly luncheons with her siblings. She is mourned by her family John (Elsie), Betty (Dennis) Kane, Henry (Rubina), Clarence (Joyce), Anne (Jake) Dueck, Jake (Lenie), Frank (Helen), Abe (Fran), and Carol (Nickel) Riddick. The funeral was April 19 at Grantham MB Church, St. Catharines, Ont.
