	• Mrs. Rachel Wiggers, 71, died Oct. 29 at the Halstead Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Grace Mennonite Church west of Halstead, with Rev. Carl Dirks and Rev. Kenneth Smith in charge. Mrs. Wiggers leaves her husband, Henry H. 			<center><h3>MRS. HENRY WIGGERS</h3></center>

			Rachel Wiggers was born April 27, 1893 at Marion, S. D. to Jacob B. and Eva (Dirks) Jantz and passed away Oct. 29, 1964, reaching the age of 71 years, six months and two days. At the age of two years her mother passed away. In 1901 she with her father, brothers and sisters moved to a farm near Galva, Kan., where she grew to womanhood.

			At the age of 15 she was convicted by the Holy Spirit of her lost condition, finding forgiveness, and upon this experience was baptized June 8, 1908 by Min. Tobias A. Unruh, becoming a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite.

			On Jan. 21, 1912, she was married to Henry H. Wiggers by Min. Benj. Becker at the Lone Tree congregation. They had joys and sorrows together for over 52 years, observing their golden wedding anniversary Jan. 21, 1962. To this union nine children were born, three sons and six daughters.

			They engaged in farming most of their lives, first at Galva, Kan., then moving to a farm at Halstead, Kan. in the spring of 1930. In 1952 thy left the farm and moved to Halstead.

			She was a good wife and a kind and loving mother. Her health began to fail several years ago so that she had to submit to two major surgeries, from which she never regained her strength. She became bedfast in her home on Sept. 26, where she was cared for by father and the family. Thursday, Oct. 29, 1964, at 6 a.m., the Lord called mother to her eternal home at the Halstead Hospital where she was taken 52 hours earlier, leaving us the full assurance that all was well with her soul.

			She leaves to mourn her departure, her sorrowing companion and three sons and six daughters, Gertrude (Mrs. Erwin Wedel), Priscilla (Mrs. Walter Seiler), Bertha (Mrs. Jonas Buller), Min. Arnold and wife Viola, Allen and wife Lucille, of Halstead, Kan., Marjorie (Mrs. Dennis Smith) of Tucumcari, N. M., Glenn and wife Bertha of Sedgwick, Kan., Elma Jean (Mrs. Merle Yost) of Huron, S. D., and Claribel (Mrs. Wilbert Dirks) of Hesston, Kan.; 50 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dan and wife Belle of McPherson; two sisters, Lena (Mrs. Dan Wiggers) and Eva (Mrs. Dan Unruh) of Galva, and a host of relatives and friends. Her parents, two grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters, preceded her in death.

			The funeral service was conducted at the Grace Mennonite Church west of Halstead on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Carl Dirks and Rev. Kenneth Smith officiating,. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery. — The Family.
