	David W. Tschetter, our beloved husband and father, son of Paul and Maria (Walter) Tschetter, was born in Hutchinson county, South Dakota, on Oct. 29, 1882. He departed from this life at Sioux Valley hospital, Sioux Falls, South Dakota at 6:15 a.m. on August 6, 1955. About 7:30 on the previous evening on Highway No. 16, about six miles west of Sioux Falls, he met with a serious accident which was the cause of his death. He attained the age of 72 years, nine months and eight days.		David W. 	He joined Anna Glanzer in holy matrimony on Dec. 7, 1905, with Dietrich Goossen officiating. For four months short of 50 years we shared joys and sorrows. This union was blessed with seven children, all of whom are present in this hour of bereavement. They are: Paul, Denver, Colo., Edward, Dolton, South Dakota; Mrs. Joe Enz (Lucy), Dinuba, Calif.; Rosa, Bridgewater; Benny, Sioux Falls; Alfred, Fresno, Calif.; and Mrs. Gideon Bertsch (Mabel), Bridgewater. 			<center><h3>REV. DAVID TSCHETTER SERVED CONFERENCE FOR OVER FORTY YEARS</h3></center>

			Bridgewater, S. D. — Injuries suffered in a highway accident the evening before proved fatal on Aug. 6 to Rev. David W. Tschetter, 72, well-known retired minister of the K.M.B. church here and for many years a leader in the K.M.B. Conference.

			Funeral services were conducted at the Salem K.M.B. church where he was baptized May 22, 1904, and where he also served faithfully as minister for over 40 years.

			Although retired from the regular pastorate, Rev. Tschetter was en route to Sioux Falls to conduct a service at the Union Gospel Mission when the fatal accident occurred. He died the following morning at Sioux Valley hospital, Sioux Falls.

			Rev. Tschetter was born on a farm near here which continued to be his home until his passing. He was called to the office of minister by the local congregation in 1911 and ordained on Dec. 26, 1913. His ordination as an elder took place Sept. 20, 1925. In addition to his service in the Salem congregation, he was active in the wider ministry of the K.M.B. Conference.

			He is survived by his wife, the former Anna Gianzer; seven children, Paul of Denver, Colo., Edward of Dolton, Mrs. Joe Entz of Dinuba, Calif., Rosa of Bridgewater, Benny of Sioux Falls, Alfred of Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. Gideon Bertsch of Bridgewater; two brothers, Jacob of Emery and Rev. Joseph Tschetter of Chicago; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

David W. Tschetter, our beloved husband and father, son of Paul and Maria (Walter) Tschetter, was born in Hutchinson county, South Dakota, on Oct. 29, 1882. He departed from this life at Sioux Valley hospital, Sioux Falls, South Dakota at 6:15 a.m. on August 6, 1955. About 7:30 on the previous evening on Highway No. 16, about six miles west of Sioux Falls, he met with a serious accident which was the cause of his death. He attained the age of 72 years, nine months and eight days.

In 1904 he realized his lost condition, and on Feb. 28 he found peace with God. On May 22 of the same year he was baptized by Heinrich Wiebe and taken into the membership of the Salem K.M.B. church at Bridgewater, South Dakota, whose faithful member he remained until death.

In 1911 the church called him to the office of the ministry to which he was ordained on Dec. 26, 1913, by Jacob J. Hofer and John Esau. After several years the church called him to the office of elder to which he was ordained by the same brethren on Sept.20, 1925. By the grace of the Salem congregation and the K.M.B. Conference for 40 years until his retirement. Since that time he served the Lord as time and opportunity would permit.

His entire life was spent on the farm where he was born and which he had received from his father. There are many family incidents which we will long remember and cherish. He passed through several serious operations. He took every opportunity to better prepare himself for service to God and to his church.

We will miss our husband and father, but in Christ Jesus we have the assurance that we will be forever re-united in heaven with him and our Savior. The Bereaved Family.
