	He was married to Susanna Wideman on Jan. 31, 1906, and was a farmer all his life. He was a member of the Wideman Mennonite church, and was ordained to the ministry on Oct. 11, 1914, by Bishop Jonas Snider of Waterloo Co., Ontario, which position he faithfully filled for over 20 years, until he was compelled by ill health to retire. Lewis Fretz of Selkirk, Ont., his co-labourer in the ministry for a number of years. Pall bearers were: Allan Wideman, Elmore Barkey, Andrew Steiner, Joseph Reesor, Russel Grove, and Albert Wideman.		Funeral service on Friday afternoon, June 15, at the home was conducted by Rev. Emerson McDowell, Markham, and at the Wideman church by Bishop A. Hoover passed peacefully away at his late home, lot 25, concession 8, Markham Township on June 13, 1945, after an illness of about six months, caused by a tumorous growth on the hip.
