	On November 12 Daniel A. Garber died in his home northeast of Vermillion, Mo. He was born in Wayne county, Ohio, April 25, 1857, bringing his age to 74 years 6 months and 18 days. During his younger days he united with the Bethel Mennonite church of which he ever afterwards was a faithful member. He was a regular attendant at all of its services whenever his health permitted him to do so. He was an ardent Sunday School and Church worker and for many years was the mission treasurer of the church.		On November 12 Daniel A. Garber died in his home northeast of Vermillion, Mo. 			'''Graber.[''sic'' Garber] —''' Daniel Albert Garber, son of John and Barbara Loganbill Garber, was born near Dalton, Wayne County, Ohio, April 24, 1857. He died on his farm near Versailles, Missouri, Nov. 12, 1931, attaining the age of 74 years, 6 months and 18 days.

			During his younger days he came to Missouri and united with the Bethel Mennonite church where he remained a faithful and active member. He attended Sunday school and church services regularly when his health permitted.

			December 23, 1884, he was married to Anna Loganbill who, with eight children, survive him. A son and a daughter preceded him in death.

			In July of this year he suffered a stroke which impaired his health and especially his hearing. The last six weeks he was seriously ill at his home where he was well cared for by his family. The family keenly feels the loss of a devoted husband and father.

			The funeral services were held at Bethel Mennonite church on Sunday afternoon in the presence of a large assembly of friends and relatives.

			Words of comfort were read from Psalms 90:1-6 and Romans 14:7 and 10 by Rev. Hilty. For his text he used Hebrews 4:9 to 11. The pastor spoke using Phillipians 1:21-24 as a basis for meditation. Interment was made in Bethel Mennonite cemetery.

			On December 23, 1884, he was united in marriage with Anna Loganbill, who with eight children survives him. The children are Mrs. Joe Lehman, David, Elmer and Daniel of Vermillion, Mrs. Carl Lehman and Milton of Fortuna, Mrs. John Kauffman of La Porte, Ind., and Dr. Ella Banman of Champa, India. Besides his own children he is also survived by 19 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Basinger and Rachel Garber.

			In July of this year, Mr. Garber suffered a paralytic stroke which impaired his health and especially his hearing. He was severely ill during the last six weeks of his life at his home, where he was tenderly cured for by the members of his family.

			The funeral services were held at Bethel church Sunday afternoon, Nov. 15, in the presence of a large concourse of relatives and friends. Those who attended the funeral from a distance were Messr. John, Simon, Clarence and Miss Jane Baumgartner of Halstead, Kans., Dr. Wm. Baumgartner of Lawrence, Kansas and Mr. Israel Garber of Pandora, O.

			The funeral services were conducted by the pastor of the family, Rev. J. D. Warkentin and assisted by Rev. P. P. Hilty.
