He was born May 4, 1899 to Gerhard<br /> and Susana Ens in Manitoba. When he was 5,<br /> the family moved to Saskatchewan. In 1927<br /> he married Agnes Boese. They lived near<br /> Warman for 2 years. Then they moved to a<br /> homestead in Horse Lake, Sask. Besides<br /> farming, he worked at logging and operated<br /> a sawmill. He was on crutches for about a<br /> year after a tree fell on his leg. In 1956 they<br /> moved to Prince Albert,<br /> Sask., where he worked at<br /> the Canada Creosote plant<br /> for 3 years. Then they<br /> moved to Warman, where<br /> they bought and operated a<br /> store for 3 years. He sold the<br /> store and began buying<br /> houses, fixing them and selling them. He gradually<br /> retired. There was a change going on in his<br /> heart, as he sought the Lord for some years.<br /> He gave his heart to the Lord Sept. 30, 1979.<br /> He was baptized with his daughter Ethel. He<br /> had to help his wife with the housework<br /> and meals, as she was in bed for 6 years with<br /> a broken hip. Predeceased by 4 brothers and<br /> 4 sisters, he is mourned by his wife;<br /> daughters Doris Klym of Prince Albert and<br /> Carol Friesen and Ethel Lee of Saskatoon;<br /> sons Louie of Shell Lake, Sask., Norman of<br /> Martensville, Sask. and Ron of Hague, Sask.;<br /> 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3<br /> sisters and 2 brothers. The funeral was Dec.<br /> 19 in Warman MB Church, with Rudy Lemke<br /> and Ben Heppner ministering.</div>
