She was<br /> born May 11, 1924 to<br /> Johann Peter and Maria<br /> Enns Bergmann in<br /> Rueckenau, Ukraine. The<br /> family immigrated to<br /> Canada in 1924 shortly<br /> after Martha&#039;s birth, and settled in Manitoba<br /> and then Virgil, Ont., where they thrived.<br /> Martha became a registered nursing assistant in<br /> 1970 and served at both the St. Catharines and<br /> Niagara-on-the-Lake hospitals until retirement.<br /> Martha loved the Lord and treasured fellowship at Virgil MB Church, now Cornerstone<br /> Community Church.
