Elizabeth Priebe Barkman was ,born at

passed away January 12 at Herbert,
Sask at the age of 83 'It was at Hillsboro
that she acquired her education and
also here that she aocep1ed the Lord as
her Saviour. ,In the year of her conversion, 1903, she was also baptized and
joined the Krimmer Mennonite Brethren
Church at Gnadenau, near Hillsboro. In
1906 s'he married Dietrich G. Barkman,
a union which was bilessed with nine children, four daughters and five sons.
Shortly afte,r their marriage, they emigrated to Canada and settled in Flowing
Well, Sask., where they joined the
Mennonite Brethren Church. They spent
all of their working years at Flowing
Well and in 1947 retire,d to Herbert, Sask.

In 1957 her husband passed on to be
