Sara Baerg of Saskatoon passed away Sept.&lt;br /&gt;
18, of cancer. She was born Mar. 11, 1907 to&lt;br /&gt;
John and Sara Buhler of Dalmeny, Sask.&lt;br /&gt;
Here she graduated from grade 8 at Mountain Lake School. She was&lt;br /&gt;
baptized and joined Dalmeny&lt;br /&gt;
MB Church. She studied 2&lt;br /&gt;
years a t Herbert (Sask.)&lt;br /&gt;
Bible School. On Aug. 16,&lt;br /&gt;
1928 she married Henry J.&lt;br /&gt;
Baerg of Mennon, Sask. She&lt;br /&gt;
worked in all aspects of&lt;br /&gt;
farming and homemaking.&lt;br /&gt;
They moved to Dalmeny,&lt;br /&gt;
where a dairy operation was&lt;br /&gt;
added. When Henry felt called to the ministry, she helped him prepare sermons and&lt;br /&gt;
Bible study classes. She kept busy in ladies&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
groups, choirs and Sunday school. In 1963&lt;br /&gt;
they moved to Beechy, Sask., where he pastored the MB church. She made lifelong&lt;br /&gt;
friends and was active in church and community. When they moved to Saskatoon, her&lt;br /&gt;
characteristic courage and faith helped make&lt;br /&gt;
the transition, and her warm, caring ways&lt;br /&gt;
made her known as &amp;quot;Grandma Baerg&amp;quot; to&lt;br /&gt;
neighbourhood children. After Henry died in&lt;br /&gt;
1985, she remained active in church. In 1988&lt;br /&gt;
she moved to West Portal Manor. She is&lt;br /&gt;
remembered as one devoted to loving and&lt;br /&gt;
serving her Lord who dealt with family and&lt;br /&gt;
friends in a gentle, gracious manner. Predeceased by her husband and 3 grandsons, she&lt;br /&gt;
is mourned by her children Mabel Ratzlaff of&lt;br /&gt;
Dallas, OR, Ruth Schultz of Grande Prairie,&lt;br /&gt;
Alta., Cliff of Dalmeny and Veleda Peters of&lt;br /&gt;
Calgary; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 4 sisters. The funeral&lt;br /&gt;
was Sept. 21 in Central MB Church, Saskatoon, with R.M. Baerg ministering.&lt;br /&gt;
