● Mrs. Evelyn Zielke, 88, died Oct. 22 at the Bethel Home for the Aged in Newton. Services were held Oct. 25 at the First Mennonite Church with Albert Epp in charge. She was born Evelyn Wiebe in South Russia and came to the U.S. in 1892. She was married in 1907 to Peter B. Zielke and they farmed at Coy, Okla. until moving to Newton in 1918. He died in 1971. She is survived by three daughters, Linda (Mrs. Waldo) Friesen of Newton, Elnora (Mrs. Charles) Buczeskie of Sylmar, Calif. and Evelyn (Mrs. John) McGinnis of Mercer Island, Wash.; six sons, Arnold, Irvin and Donald of Newton, Walter of Fontana, Calif., Loren of Burnsville, Minn. and Leroy of Larned; a sister, Mrs. Adolph Harms of Newton; a brother, John P. Wiebe of Newton; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
