MARY WAGLER

Mary Wagler of Partridge, Kan., died Jan. 14, 1997, in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 73. She was born Dec. 31, 1923, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Menno and Mary Miller Yoder. She married Mahlon Wagler on Aug. 14, 1949, in Partridge.

She spent most of her working life as a homemaker. She was a member of Cedar Crest Amish Mennonite Church and offered her services to the church and community. She enjoyed the outdoors, growing flowers and nurturing her garden. She was also a good cook and will be remembered for her many quilts, particularly those she made for each of her children.

She is survived by her husband, Mahlon; two sons, Rene and wife Diana of Owasso, Okla., and Nelson and wife Lydia of Feasterville, Pa.; four daughters, Naomi Wagler of York Springs, Pa., Regina Plett and husband Ernie of Arborg, Man., Margaret Jack and husband Tim of Owasso, and Anita Wagler of Partridge, seven grandchildren; a sister, Catherine Miller of Grove City, Minn.; and three brothers, Melvin Yoder of Partridge, Roman Yoder of McMinnville, Ore., and Abe Yoder of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.

A memorial service was held at Mowery Chapel in Owasso. The funeral was held at Cedar Crest Amish Mennonite Church. Burial was in the Center Amish Mennonite Cemetery.
