RETIRED FARMER, NATIVE OF SWITZERLAND CALLED BY DEATH AT AGE 87
Metamora, Ill. — Funeral services for Chris Studer, 87-year-old retired farmer of Roanoke Township, were held Feb.25 at the Roanoke Mennonite Church. He died at his home on Feb. 23.
Mr. Studer, who served on the Roanoke school board for a number of years, was born in Switzerland and came to this country in 1893. The following year he was married to Emma Anna Bachman, who survives with three sons, two daughters, 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Eliza Birky of Fisher.
